Privacy Policy

ConverterDock is built to work entirely in your browser. Here's exactly what that means for your data.

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use ConverterDock (converterdock.com). In short: our converters and calculators do not collect, transmit, or store the content you enter. Everything you type, paste, or upload into a conversion tool is processed locally, inside your own browser, using JavaScript — it never leaves your device.

Data we do not collect

  • Numbers, text, or values you enter into any converter or calculator.
  • Images, documents, or files you convert, resize, or process using our tools.
  • Account information — we don't require registration, so we don't hold passwords or profiles.
  • Payment details — ConverterDock is free and does not process payments.

Local storage & preferences

To make the site more convenient, we save a small amount of data directly in your browser's local storage — not on our servers. This includes your selected theme (light/dark), preferred language, favorited tools, and a short recent-conversion history so you can pick up where you left off. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings, and doing so does not affect your ability to use any tool.

Analytics & third-party services

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (such as page-view counts) to understand which tools are useful and to improve performance. This data is anonymized and is never linked to the content you enter into a converter. If third-party services such as advertising networks are used on the site in the future, they may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies; we recommend reviewing your browser's cookie and tracking-protection settings if you'd like to opt out.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log standard technical information (such as approximate IP address, browser type, and requested page) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are not used to identify individuals and are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

Your rights & choices

Because we don't collect personal data through our conversion tools, there is typically nothing to request, export, or delete on our end beyond the preferences stored locally in your own browser. If you have questions about how a specific feature handles data, please contact us using the details below and we'll clarify or update this policy as needed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ConverterDock after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
